J2EE.11.2 Enterprise JavaBeans™ (EJB)/IIOP Protocol
As mentioned several times in this specification, a future version of this specification will require that enterprise beans be accessible using the IIOP protocol. Other proprietary protocols may be used between components in the same J2EE product or between products (typically from the same product provider), but IIOP will be required for interoperability between products from different providers. Before IIOP can be required, the industry must agree on standards for security propagation.
